Chainsaw Man Episode 4 Recap
Power briefly thinks about her past, wondering why she wants to save Meowy. She opens her eyes and sees Denji. She asks him why he bothered saving her, especially since she tried to kill him. Denji responded by pointing to her chest, signaling their deal. Power gives the go signal, but before Denji could celebrate, the Leech Devil attacks them. Unfortunately, Power can’t move, and Denji can only bring out a small part of his chainsaw.
The Leech Devil confronts Denji for killing the Bat Devil. Denji does his best to fend off the Devil, and Power wonders why he’s fighting so hard just to touch her chest. The Leech Devil also made fun of Denji’s dream, which pissed him off since everyone was belittling his goals in life. Before the Leech Devil could eat Denji, Aki and the other Divison 4 members arrive to control the situation.
Denji wakes up in a hospital and asks Aki about the Devil he was with. Aki explains the contracts Devil Hunters have with certain Devils. He then questions Denji about what happened, but Denji covered for Power. Aki says he’ll let the incident slide if Denji follows his instructions. Denji says they can rely on him because he’s serious about the job, despite having “smaller” dreams. Later, Aki reports to Makima’s office. She notices Aki seems to be changing, but Aki claims he hasn’t.
While Aki and Denji are doing their morning routine, Power suddenly shows up. Makima tells Aki that she wants him to watch over Power. However, Power is causing trouble for her new housemates. While cleaning the toilet, Denji scolds Power. But Power reminds him of their deal, and Denji prepares to touch her chest.
