A new Spider-Man release featuring Tom Holland is now streaming on Disney+. It debuted on the streaming platform just days before the theatrical release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Disney+ has released a new Spider-Man documentary titled Generations: The Evolution of Spider-Man. This 26-minute documentary features behind-the-scenes footage from all nine Spider-Man films in celebration of the superhero’s legacy.
It features Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield, along with other cast and crew members. It also includes exclusive footage from the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, offering a new look at Peter Parker.
The logline of the documentary reads, “Three Peters. Two decades. One legendary hero. Swing through twenty years of Spider-Man history—from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to Tom Holland. Explore the evolution of the iconic suits and stunts, follow Tom’s journey into the mask, and get an exclusive look at Peter Parker’s next chapter with ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ director Destin Daniel Cretton.”
The behind-the-scenes also shares details on the production, along with movie stills from the upcoming installment. There are also many familiar shots in the documentary, as seen in the first trailer of Brand New Day.
Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto, also makes a special appearance in the documentary. He praises Garfield’s Peter Parker and claims that he is the “one who bears the heaviest burden of ‘great responsibility’.” Many have speculated that his appearance is linked to Daniel Cretton’s live-action Naruto adaptation project. This marks the first time Marvel Studios has promoted a web-slinger movie ahead of its release with exclusive production footage.
The upcoming Spider-Man film will also see Peter Parker face a new villain while dealing with a mysterious new mutation affecting his powers. Whether Maguire and Garfield will appear in Brand New Day remains unconfirmed.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will release in theaters on July 31, 2026.
