In the build-up to Alien: Earth Season 2, Sydney Chandler, who portrays Wendy in the sci-fi horror series, has revealed her intentions to witness a clash between the first hybrid and the extraterrestrial beings’ biggest rival, Predator. The actress weighed in on a potential clash between her Alien character and the outer-world warrior in a recent interview, detailing how Wendy might approach such a match-up.
Sydney Chandler wants Alien: Earth’s Wendy to fight the Predator
The Don’t Worry Darling star has admitted that even though she is unaware of any possible plans for Wendy to take on the Predator, she would “love to” see it happen sometime in the future.
“I don’t know…I mean, we’d have to try,” Sydney Chandler told MovieWeb. “I think she would believe she could, absolutely, but I think she’s still figuring out her strengths, and that’s the beauty of it. Kids are so brave. They don’t think of consequences, and that is a superpower, and that can also be a weakness, so I mean, that would be really fun to see. I’d love to play that, but I don’t know.”
Chandler also opened up about the direction she’d want for her character in Alien: Earth Season 2. “I think there’s so many ways for her to grow and change, and we really watched her go from innocence to more — her eyes are open, and she’s accepted the machine. She’s gotten colder, and so I’d like to warm her up again and see where that takes her, after your innocence is lost,” she said.
The 30-year-old actress further explained that she would like Wendy to play “more with the equality and differences of the creatures, because she is the only one of her kind, and she is alien in her own form, and so there’s a really interesting space there to experience that and maybe play with the fear involved or the danger involved, because they’re equal.”
While there is no official word regarding an Alien: Earth crossover with the Predator franchise, FX has sanctioned a Season 2 for the series, which will start filming in May 2026.
