Norrington is Back for ‘Pirates 2 and 3’

EmpireOnline seems to be getting a lot of goods lately and they return with another as they had a little chat with Captain Norrington, a.k.a. Jack Davenport, on his involvement in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean sequels.

“Do you honestly think I can tell you what the plot of it is?” Davenport said. ” I just can’t tell you. All I can tell you is that I’m in them. I’d be strung up and shot if I tell you anything.”

However, Davenport did spill a few extra bits before running and hiding in a cave, “I’m filming on Pirates until January of next year. There’s a little break between shooting on the two films, so that the poor bastards who have to work every day, i.e. the crew, can catch their breath slightly, because it’s a pretty massive operation. The first one made so much money that the number crunchers obviously decided to turn it into a franchise. We’re kind of lucky to be along for the ride really… I’m not a ghost or anything, I’m the same person. Maybe a bit of cross-dressing – no, I’m kidding.”

Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man’s Chest is due out on July 7, 2006.
