The series follows the relationships and perils of the hardworking crew of the Station 19 firehouse who operate as both firefighters and trained EMTs. Pruitt works as the mentor to both Andy and Jack Gibson (Grey Damon), Station 19’s lieutenant. Other characters of the ensemble cast include rookie Ben Warren (Jason George), the Station favorite Travis Montgomery (Jay Hayden), Andy’s former flame Ryan Tanner (Alberto Frezza) and her best friend/confidant Maya Bishop (Danielle Savre). Viewers are treated with glimpses of the firehouse crew in the teaser with Grey‘s star Ellen Pompeo making a cameo as she stoically delivers the line “put your game face on.”
Station 19 is created and written by Grey’s executive producer/co-showrunner Stacy McKee. Grey’s creator Shonda Rhimes and frequent production collaborator Betsy Beers will take on co-executive producing duties with Rhimes’ Shondaland production company producing the series alongside ABC.
