Riverdale Season 5 Trailer Debuts Ahead of January Return

The CW has released the first trailer for the upcoming fifth season of their hit teen drama series Riverdale, providing us with our preview of the next season’s first three episodes which teases the Prom episode, and masked strangers who are sending threatening videos to the gang, as well as the moment Veronica learns that Archie and Betty kissed. The series will be making its return on January 20, 2021. Check out the video in the player below!

In a recent interview, Lili Reinhart confirmed that the first three episodes of Season 5 were supposed to the final episodes of the fourth season which will be followed by a seven-year time jump into the future which will see the gang as adults.

KJ Apa stars as Archie Andrews in the series along with Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy, Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones and Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom. The series also stars Mark Consuelos, Casey Cott, Skeet Ulrich, Mädchen Amick, and Vanessa Morgan.

Based on the characters from Archie Comics, Riverdale hails from Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios, in association with Berlanti Productions, with executive producers Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Jon Goldwater.
