Netflix‘s upcoming Cinderella movie cast expands with three new additions. Daniel Radcliffe and Peter Dinklage are among the voice cast for the streamer’s new animated movie based on the popular fairy tale.
Who has joined the cast of Netflix’s new Cinderella movie?
Recently, Netflix announced its upcoming animated feature film, Steps. It focuses on Cinderella’s “evil” stepsisters, Lilith and Margot. It’s currently in production with three new cast members added, including Daniel Radcliffe as the Romantic Prince, Peter Dinklage as Roderick the Muscle, and Young Mazino as Gef the Heartthrob.
They will join the previously announced cast members Ali Wong, Amanda Seyfried, Stephanie Hsu, Nikki Glaser, and Bette Midler. The animated musical film is directed by Alyce Tzue and John Ripa. They have also made statements about their newest cast members.
“Peter Dinklage is an immense talent, and we are so lucky to have him on the film,” commented Tzue. “Roderick is a murderous man-nanny who has to be both terrifying and motivated by love. Peter strikes that balance with incredible skill, lending gravitas and humor to the role.”
She also spoke on Mazino’s character, “Gef is our unexpected heartthrob and one of our most beloved characters. The second we heard Young Mazino, we knew he was the one. Young infused Gef with endearing humility and a true artist’s soul, helping us create a love interest worthy of our heroine, Lilith.”
Additionally, Ripa also spoke about Radcliffe’s character, stating, “Our dream was for our fairytale Prince to be unlike any Prince you’ve seen before, and Daniel made that dream come true.”
He continued, “He brought his incredibly unique and nuanced brand of quirky, big-hearted humor to our Prince, and created a character that’s irresistible and delightful. We were blown away by Daniel‘s range and razor-sharp comedy chops, and it was simply a pleasure to work with him.”
Speaking more of Steps’ story, it follows the evil stepsisters who steal the Fairy Godmother’s magic wand and hijack the Royal Ball. This breaks the Cinderella story we know, dooming the kingdom to the tyrannical rule of Priscilla. Lilith must team up with Cinderella on an epic quest to save the kingdom, but most importantly, their relationship.
Steps is scheduled to premiere globally on Netflix on November 20, 2026.
