AMC’s Hit Vampire Show Returns With 100% RT Reviews

Ahead of the premiere, Season 3 of AMC’s popular vampire show has received a perfect score. It is based on Anne Rice’s popular The Vampire Chronicles novels. The story centers on Louis de Pointe du Lac, an 18th-century French nobleman-turned-vampire. The show explores his past as he recounts his immortal life to a journalist. Seasons 1 and 2 covered the first eponymous novel, and the upcoming season will adapt the follow-up.

What critics are saying about The Vampire Lestat in reviews

The Vampire Lestat, the third installment of the Interview with the Vampire series, has scored a 100% rating from 20 critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

Kayleigh Donaldson from The Wrap wrote, “Still, this is a striking and nervy piece of work that goes there over and over again. Jones has proven that he could steer this show through the novels’ more unhinged deviations and make it gripping.”

Meanwhile, RogerEbert.com’s Sherin Nicole said, “It’s both wicked and charming while remaining unrepentantly dangerous.”

Screen Rant’s Nick Bythrow had high praise for the season, calling it one of the year’s best seasons of any TV series. Bythrow said, “Filled with deep complexity, staggeringly emotional performances, and a protagonist who’s captivating in so many layered ways, this season of Interview with the Vampire is not only the show at its best, but one of the best seasons of TV in 2026 so far.”

Carly Lane from Collider noted how the show has successfully established AMC’s own television universe. “If the overwhelming strengths of The Vampire Lestat prove anything, though, it’s that the show that kicked off AMC’s Immortal Universe can certainly reinvent itself again and again without sacrificing its bite,” Lane praised.

The Vampire Lestat gets a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes

Like the upcoming season, the first two seasons of Interview with the Vampire garnered extremely positive reviews. While Season 1 scored 98% based on 85 reviews, Season 2 boasts a 100% approval rating. Overall, the show currently stands with an average score of 99% across all three installments.

Created by Rolin Jones, the show features Jacob Anderson, Sam Reid, Eric Bogosian, and Bailey Bass, among others in prominent roles. The Vampire Lestat will arrive on Sunday, June 7, 2026.
