The popular and long-running sci-fi animated sitcom is returning with Season 14 on the streaming platform Hulu. It was created by Matt Groening in the 1990s while he was working on another famous American sitcom, The Simpsons. Season 13 premiered on Hulu in September 2025 as a binge release, consisting of 10 episodes.
Futurama Season 14 streams on Hulu next month
Season 14 of Futurama will be available to stream on Hulu on August 3, 2026. This season will not follow a binge release pattern; new episodes will be available on the platform every Monday.
The sitcom, which started in 1999, focuses on the adventures of a 21st-century pizza delivery boy, Phillip J. Fry, who enlists with the Planet Express to go on strange and exciting world adventures. With the release date, Collider released a set of photos in May showcasing all the new ventures the Planet Express crew will handle in the upcoming season.
The cast for Season 14 of Futurama includes Katey Sagal, John DiMaggio, Billy West, Phil LaMarr, Lauren Tom, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, and many more.
Matt Groening made the show with writer David X Cohen. While speaking to Comicbook.com last year, Cohen shared details about the finale of Season 14 and stated, “We have already been writing the finale for next year, 2026, as another possible series finale. Which will be our sixth, I believe, where at the time we wrote. Which will be our sixth, I believe, where at the time we wrote it, it could have been our series finale. So yes, it’s getting much harder. I never want to say we’re gone forever. I like to think the characters live on whether we’re seeing them or not. But I do like to end on with some genuine emotion.”
Futurama Season 13 was a big hit, earning a 100 percent score on the Tomatometer at Rotten Tomatoes. On the Popcornmeter, it got 60 percent based on audience reviews.
