10 Worst TV Series Finales of All Time
Developing a successful TV series is a tough thing; ending a TV series is far more difficult. Viewers have high expectations, especially when they have spent so much time with a show and a set of characters. The characters become like family, and to see them done wrong can feel like a personal insult. Some shows end on the right note, but others are so bad it can almost wipe out your memories of preceding episodes. That said, I present you with ten of the worst TV series finales of all time.
I may take television a little too seriously, so for me, these worst TV series finales are some of the worst episodes of television, period. I do not think I am alone in a lot of them (though I expect some blowback). For the purposes of this list, I have not included shows that went on to have revivals (The X-Files, Gilmore Girls, Futurama, Twin Peaks, etc.) or shows that were canceled (I already wrote about “canceled on a cliffhanger” shows here). Only shows that knew they were going to have a final season and were able to plan accordingly were included.
