A new Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens trailer christens the fans online and at the kick-off of today’s Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim and you can watch it directly below. Fans attending the Celebration get a few additional nuggets of information, but the new trailer has got to be the highlight and what most people will be talking about throughout the weekend and rewatching on their phones, iPads, computers and any ol’ thing they can connect to the Internet.
What we learned from the Force Awakens panel is it seems the three lead characters meet on the desert planet of Jaku (not Tatooine as was assumed when set pictures leaked online). Those three characters are Finn played by John Boyega who confirmed he is a stormtrooper, though whether he’s good or bad is not revealed; another is Rey (Daisy Ridley) a scavenger and the third is Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) an X-Wing pilot sent on a mission by “a certain princess” who comes in contact with Finn.
