New Star Wars Video Game Out Today

A new Star Wars video game is out today for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 1 and 2, GeForce NOW, and PC via the Ubisoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains is a Star Wars-themed version of one of the most popular board games.

What is Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains?

Developed by Behaviour and published by Ubisoft, Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains is the board game fans know and love, but with a team-based twist. Teams of up to three players will attempt to take control of the board. Players will also choose from a roster of iconic characters, each with a unique ability, to give themselves an advantage.

Here is a description and trailer for Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains, giving players an idea of what to expect from this iteration of the popular board game:

“Assemble your team, build your roster of iconic Star Wars characters, and battle with your friends and family for control of the galaxy as you move across storied planets and locations.

“Choose from a wide array of Star Wars heroes and villains, each with their own unique abilities. Whether you’re teaming up with Luke Skywalker or unleashing Darth Vader, every match is packed with team strategy, surprises, and classic Star Wars moments. No two battles unfold the same way, the fate of your team is yours to shape!”

Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains is available now for $29.99. It does feature couch co-op with up to six players. Players can also take their Monopoly skills online.

This is just one of several Star Wars games coming this year. Star Wars Zero Company releases on August 27. Co-developed by Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment, the turn-based tactics game will be set during the Clone Wars and will see some fan-favorite characters return. It is available to preorder right now.

Arguably, the most exciting Star Wars game to release this year is Star Wars Galactic Racer, which is set to release on October 6. Just from the recent trailers, this upcoming racer essentially looks like a Star Wars-themed Burnout. And yes, for all the Star Wars Racer fans, there is podracing. It is also available to preorder now on the PS Store.
