The highly anticipated trailer for Geetu Mohandas’ Toxic is out. The high-octane trailer features K.G.F. star Yash alongside a star-studded cast in several action-packed sequences. The film is slated to hit theaters later this year.
The synopsis reads, “Independence has swept across India, but Goa still answers to the Portuguese. In the uneasy years before liberation, in a city where power, betrayal, and violence collide, Raya must navigate the complexities of loyalty and morality. As Portuguese rule crumbles in Goa, Raya rises through betrayal and bloodshed to claim the city’s underworld, only to learn that power always demands a price.”

Yash leads Geetu Mohandas’ high-octane action epic set in Goa’s underworld
The Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups trailer plays like a short film, with tension steadily escalating throughout. It opens with a somber funeral before a group of gangsters arrives, ordering everyone to leave.
As another car pulls up outside the cemetery gates, a man attaches an explosive device to the vehicle. Things quickly take a darker turn when the gangsters are caught up in a massive explosion triggered by the car. After the explosion subsides, Yash’s character walks through the wreckage, setting the stage for another violent showdown.

The Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups comes from KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film is directed by Geetu Mohandas, who co-wrote the story with lead actor Yash.
Besides Yash, it also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi, Darrell D’Silva, Natalie Burn, Benedict Garrett, Kyle Paul, and Huma Qureshi.
Yash also serves as a producer alongside Venkat K. Narayana. M.K. Subramanya serves as the executive producer. The film’s action sequences are coordinated by J.J. Perry, known for his work on John Wick, Avatar, and Mortal Kombat.
The movie is set to release in theaters in the U.S. on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
