Love Song for Illusion Episode 15 Recap: Did Park Ji-Hoon’s Memory Come Back? 

Love Song for Illusion is nearing its end. Starring Park Ji-Hoon as Sajo Hyeon/Ak-Hee and Hong Ye-Ji as Yeon Wol, Episode 15 revolves around the king’s alter personality trying to kill him to win back his lover.

In episode 14 ending, King Sajo Hyeon, who has lost his memory, tries to read his alter personality Ak-Hee’s mind. He finds out that the latter lied to him and hence rushes back to Yeon Wol. 

Love Song for Illusion episode 15 begins with Yeon Wol crying over Master Yang’s death. When Sajo Hyeon returns to her to protect her, she coldly asks him to leave her. With a heavy heart, he leaves her and returns to the palace. He enters the royal court where Sajo Yung (Hwang Hee) has gathered the ministers.

Everyone looks at him in shock because they have not been informed about his recovery. Sajo Hyeon ignores Sajo Yung at the court, making the ministers believe that his memory has returned.  

Love Song for Illusion episode 15 spoilers: Park Ji-Hoon’s Sajo Hyeon pretends to remember to deceive Ak-Hee 

After the meeting with the ministers in Love Song for Illusion episode 15, Park Ji-Hoon’s Sajo Hyeon goes back to his chamber. His half-brother Sajo Yung follows him, trying to figure out if his memory has truly returned. Hwang Hee’s character gets anxious when the king mentions a series of events that only Sajo Hyeon knows. 

Believing his memory has returned, Sajo Yung burst out in anger in front of shaman Cheong Ta. He asks the latter to find a way to kill the king. After leaving Sajo Yung agitated, Park Ji-Hoon’s character meets his queen Geum-Hwa. He asks her who is the father of the child. She lies that she slept with Ak-Hee, assuming he is Sajo Hyeon.

The sudden change in Sajo Hyeon’s behavior arises after he digs deep into Ak-Hee’s mind. He learns that Ak-Hee, Sajo Yung, and Geum Hwa are not his allies. 

On the other hand, Hong Ye-Ji’s Yeon Wol is recommended to take over the Wind Knives’ leader’s role after Master Yang’s death. However, the members are not supportive of her affection for the king. Hence, she announces her exit from the group.

While leaving the place, Sajo Hyeon finds her and initially lets her believe that his memory has come back. As he doesn’t want Ak-Hee to find out the truth, he causes his alter personality pain through his mind control. Somehow, Yeon Wol figures out that Sajo Hyeon is pretending to remember to deceive Ak-Hee. 

Love Song for Illusion episode 15 ending: Did Ak-Hee kill Sajo Hyeon?

Towards the Love Song for Illusion episode 15 ending, Park Ji-Hoon’s Sajo Hyeon and Ak-Hee meet in their mind space. The king doesn’t let his alter personality know that his memory has not returned. The next morning, Ak-Hee takes over the king’s body and meets Yeon Wol.

The latter slyly finds out that he plans to get rid of Sajo Hyeon for good. Ak-Hee then meets Hwang Hee’s Sajo Yung and discusses their deal. The episode ends with shaman Cheong Ta letting Ak-Hee kill the king in their mind space. Yeon Wol tries to intervene in the shaman’s ritual but fails.

Park Ji-Hoon’s character wakes up, however, it is unclear if he is Sajo Hyeon or Ak-Hee. Find out more in the finale episode of Love Song for Illusion, which airs on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at 10.10 p.m. KST on KBS. It also streams on Viki.
