Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 Ending Explained: Park Seo-Joon’s Netflix K-Drama Season 2 Chances Look Good

Starring Park Seo-Joon as Jang Tae-Sang and Han So-Hee as Yoon Chae-Ok, Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 aired on Netflix on Friday. The second part consisted of the final three episodes.

Part 1 ended with Chae-Ok and other prisoners escaping from the Ongseong Hospital while Tae-Sang stayed back. It showed the Najin parasite crawling inside Myeong-Ja’s brain, indicating the birth of a new monster creature.

Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 episode 8 begins with Myeong-Ja’s early stage of becoming the creature. Meanwhile, Lady Maeda (Claudia Kim) visits the hospital to see Seishin, the original creature. Wounded Tae-Sang learns she is in the hospital and hence catches her off-guard. With her help, he escapes the place and is brought to safety.

The Gyeongsong Creature Part 2 ending looks promising. The K-Drama is expected to return for season 2.

Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 recap & spoilers: Park Seo-Joon, Han So-Hee go back to Ongseong Hospital

In Gyeongseong Creature Part 2, Lady Maeda treats Tae-Sang (Park Seo-Joon). He returns home and releases Gu Gap-Pyeong and others from prison. Later, he and Chae-Ok (Han So-Hee) have an emotional and heart-fluttering reunion.

While they wander around the streets, they encounter Myeong-Ja’s monster version. They try to rescue her but Commissioner Ishikawa reaches first and orders her to return to Ongseong Hospital. She attacks him before being caged. On the other hand, Chae-Ok’s father Yoon Jung-Won heads back to the hospital to be with his wife Seishin, the original creature.

While Tae-Sang joins forces with Jun-Taek (Wi Ha-Joon) and other rebels to bomb the hospital, Chae-Ok reaches Ishikawa’s funeral and kills Director Ichiro. Somehow Lady Maeda captures her and sends her back to the hospital. Lady Maeda then visits Tae-Sang and tells him that his lover is dead.

Claudia Kim’s character further asks him to become the unbothered Tae-Sang as he used to be. But he refuses and warns her, claiming he will find Chae-Ok. He declares war against Lady Maeda and goes back to Ongseong Hospital to look for Han So-Hee’s character. He plans to place dynamites around the hospital and escape with Chae-Ok. While doing so, he meets Jung-Won who requests him to let him put the dynamites in place and die with his wife. He asks Tae-Sang to escape with his daughter and live happily ever after.

Chae-Ok is brought to the basement where Lt. Kato slaps her, triggering the creature Seishin. The latter breaks the underground prison and goes on a killing spree to save her daughter. Tae-Sang reaches on time and rescues Chae-Ok from Kato, who rushes to his office to take the remaining parasites. The leading couple escapes the hospital after the dynamites explode.

Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 ending: Are Park Seo-Joon, Han So-Hee alive?

Things didn’t get sorted for Park Seo-Joon and Han So-Hee’s characters after escaping the hospital. The Gyeongseong Creature episode 10 (finale) shows Tae-Sang and Chae-Ok trying to leave Gyeongseong for good but Lady Maeda and her fighters find them.

She reveals to Chae-Ok that she and her mother Seishin were once close friends. After making snarky comments, she asks her guards to kill the couple. The two fight against a group of sword fighters and get wounded multiple times. When a fighter is about to stab Chae-Ok, Seishin the creature comes to her rescue. Despite the dynamite explosions, the creature escaped the hospital unharmed.

After killing all the guards, Seishin runs towards Tae-Sang and releases a tentacle when Chae-Ok comes in between. In her final words, she requests her mother to end her suffering and not harm Tae-Sang, whom she loves. Later in the episode, Tae-Sang bombs a gathering with Lady Maeda inside the room.

The Gyeongseong Creature Part 2 ending leaves on a cliffhanger, indicating Season 2 is in the making. Lt. Kato is alive in the hospital basement with Myeong-Ja’s baby in hand while she lies dead. The Najin parasite is seen crawling into the baby’s brain as it opens one eye with green eyeballs. Lady Maeda, too, didn’t die but in a wheelchair. Seishen jumps into the ocean with Chae-Ok’s body and transfers the parasite to her. The K-Drama ends with Han So-Hee’s character opening her eyes.

All episodes of Gyeongseong Creature are currently streaming on Netflix.
