Like Flowers in Sand Episode 2 Trailer: Jang Dong-Yoo Is Curious About Lee Joo-Myoung

ENA released the trailer of Like Flowers in Sand episode 2 ahead of its premiere. Starring Jang Dong-Yoon as Kim Baek-Du and Lee Joo-Myoung as Oh Yu-Gyeong, the Netflix K-drama is a sports romance about a wrestler who decides to retire.

In episode 1, Baek-Du is upset with his wrestling career after losing an important match. The ending shows him entering the house of his childhood friend, Du-Sik, and finding someone in the empty property. The mysterious person is Oh Yu-Gyeong, who recently arrived in Geosan County.

In the latest Like Flowers in Sand episode 2 trailer, Baek-Du shows his curiosity about her. He thinks she is Du-Sik, who left the town long ago.

Like Flowers in Sand episode 2 trailer hints at Jang Dong-Yoo, Lee Joo-Myoung’s connection

Like Flowers in Sand episode 2 trailer begins with Jang Dong-Yoo’s Baek-Du staring at Lee Joo-Myoung’s Oh Yu-Gyeong. He asks his mother whether she looks like Du-Sik. In response, his mother says, “Why do you ask? Why do you want to know where her family is from?”

The townspeople are also curious about Yu-Gyeong, while Baek-Du still thinks she is his childhood friend. The video shows him following her at night. When Yu-Gyeong asks him whether or not he is training, he replies that he has retired. Joo-Myoung’s character is shocked by the answer.

The trailer also focuses on Baek-Du’s friends and family criticizing him for quitting wrestling. The next scene shows him peeking into the Ssireum training center to find out what Yu-Gyeong is doing there. 

He sees her showing a wrestling move to the coach. She then introduces herself, “I’ll be the new general manager of the Geosan-gun Ssireum team. I’m Oh Yu-Gyeong.” The trailer ends with Baek-Du’s shocking face.

Like Flowers in Sand episode 2 will air on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at 9 p.m. KST on ENA. It will also stream on Netflix.

Consisting of 12 episodes, the new K-drama airs twice a week—Wednesdays and Thursdays.
