Game News: Soulcalibur V , Hitman Absolution & L.A. Noire

Three new trailers have come online the last two days for anticipated games.

First up is the announcement trailer for Soulcalibur V, which Namco Bandai will release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2012. Soulcalibur V picks up 17 years after the events of Soulcalibur IV with new heroes and returning warriors clashing in an epic showdown between good and evil. The tale of Patroklos, son of Sophitia Alexandra, unfolds as his family’s destiny intertwines with the Soul swords.

Next up is the announcement trailer for IO Interactive’s Hitman Absolution, coming to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Hitman Absolution follows Agent 47, a cold blooded assassin, who takes on his most dangerous contract to date. Betrayed by those he trusted and hunted by the police, he finds himself at the centre of a dark conspiracy and must embark on a personal journey through a corrupt and twisted world, in his search for the truth.

And Rockstar Games has released this launch trailer for L.A. Noire, available for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next Tuesday, May 17. Set amid the violence and corruption of post-World War II Los Angeles, L.A. Noire is a crime thriller that seamlessly blends crime-solving, clue-finding, car chases and shoot-outs with revolutionary new interrogation-based gameplay that will allow players to read characters’ emotions in order to reveal the truth. Players will take on the role of Cole Phelps, a decorated war veteran, who rises through the ranks of the LAPD by solving a series of gruesome murders and other crimes that bring him face-to-face with the dark heart of Los Angeles during Hollywood’s Golden Age.
