Marvel’s Kevin Feige just settled the biggest question Spider-Man fans have been asking for years. The Marvel Studios boss revealed exactly when Miles Morales will make his live-action MCU debut during a recent interview in Shanghai.

Kevin Feige confirmed plans to bring Miles Morales into the MCU after Sony’s animated Spider-Verse series concludes. The Marvel Studios president spoke with China’s Watching Hollywood during a recent visit to Shanghai. He stated that a live-action Miles Morales appearance will follow the release of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse on June 18, 2027.
“The good news is, Sony has the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse series, which are very popular and excellent, and Beyond the Spider-Verse is coming out next year,” Feige said. He added, “We definitely have plans, and I think a live-action Spider-Man movie has this destiny: to add Miles sometime after the Spider-Verse series ends.”
Miles Morales first appeared on the big screen in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in 2018. Shameik Moore then reprised his voice role in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in 2023. Moore returns once more for Beyond the Spider-Verse, which sees Miles trapped in an alternate universe.
Feige also pointed to a moment in Spider-Man: No Way Home as foreshadowing for Miles. In that film, Jamie Foxx’s Electro says, “Somewhere there’s bound to be a Black Spider-Man.” Feige noted, “Audiences around the world were thrilled because they knew it might be a hint at Spider-Man Miles.”
Beyond Miles, Feige revealed broader ambitions for the Spider-Man franchise. He shared that his production partner Amy Pascal is already developing future installments. “We’ve had in-depth discussions about what the next two, three, four, and five Spider-Man movies might be about,” he said. Pascal separately confirmed in 2023 that a live-action Miles Morales project was in development.
Meanwhile, Tom Holland’s Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which hits theaters on July 31.
