Zendaya’s $3.9 Billion Trilogy Finds Streaming Resurgence Ahead of Brand New Release

A three-film trilogy featuring Zendaya has stormed back into the streaming charts. The resurgence comes as audiences prepare for the upcoming movie in the blockbuster series, set to release soon.

Marvel fans are rewatching MCU’s Spider-Man trilogy on Disney+

The Spider-Man trilogy now has three spots on Disney+’s Top 10 Movies list on July 15. According to FlixPatrol data, the films secured the fourth, seventh, and 10th positions, sitting alongside major releases like Moana, Avatar: Fire and Ash, Avengers: Endgame, and Hoppers.

Spider-Man: No Way Home leads the pack at number four, followed by Spider-Man: Far From Home at number seven. Spider-Man: Homecoming rounds out the list at number 10. This streaming surge came as Spider-Man: Brand New Day prepares to release on July 31. It’s directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and stars Tom Holland alongside Zendaya, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, and more. The plot follows Parker anonymously protecting New York City while investigating a powerful new threat. His superpowers also undergo what seems to be an evolution.

The trilogy’s financial legacy remains staggering. Homecoming grossed $880 million worldwide in 2017, becoming the sixth-highest-grossing film of that year. Far From Home pushed the character into new territory with a European adventure featuring Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio. It grossed over $1.1 billion globally. No Way Home shattered expectations by uniting Holland with previous franchise stars Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. The third movie went on to earn over $1.9 billion worldwide.

Adding fuel to fan excitement, Disney+ recently released a 27-minute documentary titled Generations: The Evolution of Spider-Man. The feature includes footage from Holland, Garfield, and Maguire’s solo films.

The three Jon Watts-directed films featured Zendaya in a career-defining role that grew substantially with each instalment. Her character evolved from a sharp-tongued classmate to an emotional anchor of the entire saga. Now audiences are revisiting that journey as they await what comes next.
