The fifth episode of Untamed, a new Netflix thriller centered on a murder mystery in Yosemite Park, showed Jill (Rosemarie DeWitt) in the hospital after some dramatic twists and turns. The series is full of surprises, but Jill’s story is both extremely intriguing and tragic.
Here is why Jill was in the hospital in Untamed Episode 5.

What happened to Jill in Untamed Episode 5?
Jill is Turner’s ex-wife. The series initially made it seem that Jill had left Kyle Turner after the disappearance of their son, Caleb. Kyle’s strained past is often highlighted throughout the series. But during the course of the investigation, something terrible happens to Jill that puts her on the verge of death.
As the series reaches begins to approach its finale, Kyle begins to suspect his co-worker Shane Maguire of the murder of the young girl in the park. During this time, Jill consumes a fatal amount of pills in an attempt to take her own life. The suicide attempt puts her in the hospital. Eventually, Untamed reveals that there was more to this attempt than just the all-consuming grief about her son.
Jill struggled deeply with her son’s disappearance. However, the final episode of the show revealed that she carried more emotional burden than just that.
The last episode revealed that Sean Sanderson had killed Jill and Kyle’s son. It was not just a disappearance. After discovering this, Jill allegedly had Sean taken care of by hiring Maguire. The finale also revealed that Kyle had left Jill and not the other way around.
With Kyle very close to catching Maguire, Jill’s secret was also in danger, and she attempted suicide. However, she survives and continues with her life after the case ends, just like Kyle.
