The Spider-Man PS5 Game Gives Players a Close Look at No Way Home Suits

Insomniac Games announced earlier this week that it was patching in two suits from Spider-Man: No Way Home into Spider-Man Remastered on the PlayStation 5. The update has finally dropped for the title and, given the game’s robust Photo Mode, lets players get a deep and intimate look at each costume before the film’s release on December 17.

The base and classic red suit in the game is called the “Hybrid” suit.

It likely has that name because it seems to be some sort of fusion between his default Upgraded suit from Far From Home (as noted by the darker blue parts of the suit that are of similar color and material as well as the soles on the bottom of his feet) and his Iron Spider suit from Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame (which comes through within the golden spider logo that stretches from the neck to the waist and has the same imprint on his back). It’s for the Spidey that wants to look like a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man but doesn’t want to so flagrantly flaunt the technology hidden inside of it.

The other suit seemingly shows that technology inside of it. The second getup is simply referred to as the “Black and Gold” suit and appears to be Far From Home‘s Upgraded suit but flipped inside out.

The patterns on the front and back are almost identical and make the comparison hard to ignore.

However, there is one glaring difference: the gauntlet on his right arm.

Zooming into it makes it seem like it is something from Doctor Strange, given all the runes decidedly magical nature of it all. It serves as a stark difference to the, well, Stark technology Spider-Man is known for using in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
