Drew McIntyre Teases Plan After The Rock Meeting at WWE Elimination Chamber

The Rock and Drew McIntyre had another interaction at Elimination Chamber: Toronto, following their intriguing exchange at the Netflix premiere of WWE RAW. Despite McIntyre’s ongoing feud with The Bloodline, he has always maintained a strong relationship with The Rock.

At the Netflix premiere, The Rock—now a member of The Bloodline—surprised fans by embracing McIntyre backstage. He went live on Instagram from backstage, interacting with several WWE stars, but his exchange with McIntyre stood out as particularly intriguing.

McIntyre later addressed the interaction, explaining that The Rock has always supported him, which is why he embraced him backstage. After aligning with John Cena to attack Cody Rhodes at WWE Elimination Chamber: Toronto, The Rock also had a backstage moment with McIntyre. McIntyre teased that something significant could be developing between him and “The Final Boss.”

Drew McIntyre suggests something major is in the works with The Rock

In an interview with the Daily Star, Drew McIntyre addressed speculation about his connection with The Rock. He stated:

“I absolutely cannot tell you any information on that, but what I can tell you is one of the narratives I see online is that people don’t pay close attention to the stories. Why is Drew always talking about The Rock? I thought he hated The Bloodline? No—I hate people that wronged me personally. If somebody wronged me, I have an issue with them, just like anybody in real life.”

He continued:

“The Rock has actively looked out for me my whole career, since I was a kid. He and his business partner—his ex-wife, Danny—have always said such positive things about me. He put me over in a TMZ interview when I wasn’t doing anything in particular that justified him saying I was going to be the next big star when I re-signed with the company. You know, he sent the sword, and some really nice words that I’ll never reveal to the world. We got a chance to catch up at the Chamber. We had a really good talk, and there are some things on the horizon—some big things in the world. We’ll see when it’s time.” (H/T: WrestleTalk)

The Rock, a consistent supporter of Drew McIntyre, has always had a strong relationship with the Scottish Warrior. With WrestleMania 41 approaching and The Final Boss shocking fans by aligning with John Cena, could McIntyre be the next to join forces with him?
