Major Update on WWE Superstar CM Punk’s Injury

WWE Superstar CM Punk recently provided an update on his injury, giving fans a glimpse into his recovery process. Punk, who made a highly anticipated return to WWE at Survivor Series after nearly nine years away, had his WrestleMania 40 plans derailed due to a triceps injury sustained during the Royal Rumble match.

During the Royal Rumble, Punk entered at number 27 and lasted until the final moments before Cody Rhodes eliminated him. However, an encounter with Drew McIntyre and a DDT move caused Punk to suffer the triceps injury. This injury sidelined him from WrestleMania 40. Despite this setback, Punk has actively shared updates with his fans.

In a recent Instagram Story, Punk shared a video of himself working out, focusing on his injured arm. Additionally, Punk gave a shoutout to fellow WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair, also dealing with a knee injury.

This gesture not only gave fans insight into his recovery efforts but also showcased Punk’s determination to return to action as soon as possible. Furthermore, while hyping up Punk’s appearance next week, Punk shared important news on this week’s edition of WWE RAW. He stated that he will be at WrestleMania 40.

WWE superstar CM Punk is expected to return in six to eight months

CM Punk’s expected return to WWE is within six to eight months. Last month, Punk attended UFC 298 in Anaheim and discussed his potential WrestleMania 40 headline match, which is no longer happening due to his injury. In an interview with Caroline Pearce of TNT Sports, Punk provided an update on his recovery timeline.

Speaking about his current injury, Punk indicated that he aims to recover approximately six to eight months, suggesting a potential return sometime in the summer. Punk is familiar with dealing with a torn triceps injury, having previously torn his left triceps in September 2022 while working for AEW.

He returned to the ring about nine months after that injury. With Punk set to appear on WWE RAW next week and at WrestleMania 40, fans are curious to see what role WWE has planned for him upon his return.
