Spider-Man 4 Cut a Fight Scene With Multiple Villains, But Fans May Still Be Able to See It

Spider-Man 4‘s director revealed a cut fight scene in the movie with multiple villains. However, this epic battle is not included in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The director also revealed that fans may still be able to see it in future installments of the franchise.

What fight scene was cut from Spider-Man 4?

Tom Holland’s fourth Spider-Man movie is headed to the theaters soon, and promotions are underway. In an interview with Nerdtropolis, the director Destin Daniel Cretton spoke about the filmmaking process and final cuts of the upcoming film.

Cretton was asked whether there were any additional covers, panels, or more obscure villains he wanted to include but couldn’t fit into the final cut. He responded, “Yeah, there were a lot.”

He continued, “There was a whole other scene that ended up getting cut from the movie that we’re going to- we were going to throw a whole bunch of villains into this one giant fight scene that ended up getting cut. We were looking at the old classics, and it was fun, though. We got to design a lot of them. But yeah, maybe for another one we’ll bring it back.”

Although fans won’t get to witness this epic battle soon, the upcoming movie is already full of antagonists. Based on a recently released poster, the web-slinger is already shown facing a Savage Hulk, Scorpion, and Ninja members from The Hand. His other adversaries include Tombstone, Boomerang, Tarantula, and the unknown ultimate villain.

Additionally, Sadie Sink‘s undisclosed character could also be a threat to the web-slinger. But Cretton stated, “Anybody who goes to see this movie on the opening weekend, you’re going to have a lot more than just Sadie Sink to talk about. The fun of telling a story like this that has so much fan interaction is how much people want to know even before they see the movie.”

In the new movie, the wall-crawler faces isolation along with the aforementioned villains. Moreover, he is living in a world that has long forgotten his identity as Peter Parker. His only allies are Frank Castle, the Punisher, and Bruce Banner in his normal form. Some of the movie’s plot and casting details are still kept under wraps.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day will release in theaters on July 31, 2026.
