Bryan Danielson Update After AEW Collision Injury Scare

At the recent AEW Collision tapings, Bryan Danielson experienced an injury while competing in a match against Andrade El Idolo.

The tapings for the December 9, 2023, edition of AEW Collision have concluded. The show saw Bryan Danielson facing off against Andrade El Idolo, with the latter securing the win using the hammerlock DDT. Despite wrestling with a broken orbital bone, Danielson suffered a nasty cut above the eye, creating an injury angle that left fans concerned. However, there has been a major update on Bryan Danielson following an injury that occurred during his match against Andrade El Idolo at yesterday’s (December 6, 2023) AEW Collision tapings.

According to Fightful Select’s paywall, the injury scare was just an angle and Danielson is not sidelined from competition with Andrade. But, since Danielson is a major star, his absence would be a blow to the promotion.

The Collision tapings also showcased additional matches in the Blue League of the Continental Classic tournament, including Claudio Castagnoli vs. Eddie Kingston and Daniel Garcia vs. Brody King. Another noteworthy topic among fans was the unexpectedly low attendance at the Collision tapings. So far, it seems that Tony Khan aimed to generate buzz among the fans with the Danielson’s injury angle, creating more excitement for the coming weeks.

Bryan Danielson sets sights on two AEW stars for Blackpool Combat Club

The Blackpool Combat Club has been one of the most dominant factions in AEW. This year, they engaged in an exciting feud with The Elite. This culminated in BCC defeating them in an ‘Anarchy in the Arena’ match at Double or Nothing in May 2023.

The faction consists of Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Jon Moxley as members since its inception. William Regal was also part of the faction until he left AEW for WWE last year.

In a recent interview with DAZN, The American Dragon expressed his desire for more AEW stars to join his faction. He mentioned that Anthony Ogogo would be a really interesting fit due to his boxing background. Another intriguing prospect is Hook. Although he currently has a feud with Wheeler Yuta, Danielson suggested that such rivalries sometimes lead to mutual respect.

As it is now, it will be interesting to see if the Blackpool Combat Club members decides to add any other stars into their faction.
