Snowfall renewed for Season 3 by FX
A day before the second season finale airs on FX, the cable network has announced that crime drama Snowfall will be returning for a third season, according to Variety.
In the new season of Snowfall, everyone is working toward their ultimate goals of money, power, and influence as we enter 1984 in Los Angeles. Franklin (Damson Idris) is starting to experience the perils of success, Teddy (Carter Hudson) finds his off-book drug-funded operation may be vulnerable from unexpected sources, and the drug-running couple, Gustavo (Sergio Peris-Mencheta) and Lucia (Emily Rios), discover the potency of crack and try to exploit it.
“It has been great to see ‘Snowfall’s’ audience and critical acclaim grow in its second season,” Eric Schrier, co-president of original programming at FX, said. “The creative team has done a fantastic job and we have high hopes for season three.”
Created by John Singleton & Eric Amadio and Dave Andron, Snowfall is executive produced by Singleton, Amadio, Andron, Thomas Schlamme, Michael London and Trevor Engelson. Andron serves as showrunner.
The second season finale, directed by co-creator John Singleton, will air on FX on Thursday at 10 p.m. EST, and the first and the rest of the second seasons can both be viewed on the network’s website, while the third season will debut sometime in 2019.
