Gotham’s Harley Quinn Precursor Set to Debut Later This Season

Following the return of the show’s Joker-to-be, Jerome, in last night’s episode, TV Guide caught up with Gotham executive producer John Stephens, who revealed that the show will be bringing its version of a Harley Quinn-like character to the series.

“We might see [her] in Episode 22,” Stephens said, teasing the character will be the “launching point” for the main plot of the show’s fourth season.

“On the run from Gordon and Bullock, Dwight (guest star David Dastmalchian) tries to ?revive Jerome (guest star Cameron Monaghan) and, in turn, activates his acolytes around Gotham City. Meanwhile, Selina’s mom’s (guest star Ivana Milicevic) intentions in Gotham are revealed, and the power play between Penguin and Nygma escalates as Barbara’s plans are set in place.”

Gotham stars Ben McKenzie as Detective James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, Michael Chiklis as Detective Nathaniel Barnes, Sean Pertwee as Alfred, Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle/the future Catwoman, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma/the future Riddler, Chris Chalk as Lucius Fox, and Jamie Chung as Valerie Vale, the aunt of future Batman love interest Vicki Vale.
