A popular Batman animated TV series has revealed its first creepy look ahead of Season 2. The second chapter of the Batman: Caped Crusader will also feature one of the Dark Knight’s most iconic nemeses.
When is the release date for Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2?
Batman: Caped Crusader has teased what fans can expect from Season 2 with first-look pictures from the animated TV series. The 10-episode show will premiere on July 31, 2026, on Prime Video. It’s been confirmed that Batman villains such as Edward Nygma/Riddler, Scarecrow, and Mad Hatter will appear in the next season.
Roxy Rocket will also appear. The character was created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini for The New Batman Adventures. Additionally, Joker is also set to make an appearance. The Clown Prince of Crime was teased at the end of Season 1.
Carrie Kelly will also be seen as Grey Ghost in the second season. She’s DC’s first female Robin and was originally created by Frank Miller for The Dark Knight Returns.
No casting announcements have been made for these new roles yet. Speaking of the returning voice cast, it includes Hamish Linklater as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Jamie Chung as Harley Quinn/Harleen Quinzel, Eric Morgan Stuart as Commissioner Jim Gordon, Krystal Joy Brown as Barbara Gordon, Michelle C. Bonilla as Renee Montoya, Jason Watkins as Alfred Pennyworth, and Bumper Robinson as Lucius Fox.
The TV show was originally announced in 2021 by HBO Max, in collaboration with Cartoon Network. The series explores Batman’s noir roots and the lives of Gotham City’s iconic characters. During the announcement, the executive producers said, “The series will be thrilling, cinematic, and evocative of Batman’s noir roots, while diving deeper into the psychology of these iconic characters.”
The show has J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves, and Bruce Timm as the executive producers. James Tucker, Geoffrey Thorne, Sarah Geismer, Rachel Rusch Rich, and Sam Register are also executive producers.
