Rick and Morty Season 9 Episode 10, titled “Field of Dreams,” premieres on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT on Adult Swim. Following Season 9, the franchise’s new series, President Curtis, makes its debut at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT on the same platform.
The spin-off shifts attention away from Rick Sanchez and the Smith family. Instead, it follows President Andre Curtis and his eccentric team as they handle strange threats. Keith David returns to voice the fan-favorite character.
According to the official description, the team tackles “the kinds of crises that Rick Sanchez could never be bothered with – from interdimensional diplomacy to paranormal investigations and unexplained phenomena.”
The spin-off was co-created by Dan Harmon and James Siciliano. The duo executive produces the show alongside Steve Levy, Danielle Uhlarik, and Monica Mitchell. While speaking with Deadline earlier this month, Harmon explained how the new series differs from Rick and Morty, yet complements it. “The comparison I make is it’s like Doctor Who and The X Files. Both involve aliens, but you have a different perspective there. It allows the tonality to stay the same, but it’s not redundant,” he stated.
The creators also confirmed that Rick and Morty appear in the spin-off series, but only for a cameo. After that, the show focuses on President Curtis, his team, and his own world, so it feels like a separate series.
“We wanted to address the elephant in the room of a spin-off, but we spent a lot of time building his own staff and world, and once you get into watching, the goal is you feel it is its own show.”
After its television debut on Adult Swim, new episodes of President Curtis will stream on HBO Max beginning July 27.
