A participant on Season 13 of Love Island UK exited the show after only three days. The sudden departure marks one of the fastest exits in the show’s history, leaving fans and fellow contestants stunned. The series’ newest season debuted in the UK on Monday, June 1, 2026.
George Knight leaves Love Island Season 13 after three days
George Knight has made a swift exit from Love Island Season 13, walking from the villa just three days after entering the show alongside Yasmin Hadlow.
No public fallout or argument preceded the exit, which suggests it was a personal choice rather than drama-driven. On June 4, a Love Island spokesperson confirmed to E! News that Knight had left the villa, citing “private reasons.”
Although the professional footballer departed ahead of schedule, he still managed to shake things up with fellow Islanders by participating in a surprise twist on day two. After host Maya Jama tasked Knight and Hadlow with choosing two Islanders to send home within 24 hours, the 28-year-old seemed keen on the unexpected power.
“I don’t seek drama, but I’m quite naturally competitive,” the Dorking Wanderers FC midfielder shared. “If there’s something in my way, I want to put my best foot forward.”
Knight had already confessed he intended to play the field in Majorca, Spain, the island that’s hosted Love Island since it first aired in 2015.
“I don’t think I’d make any rash decision. I’d review options. You don’t want to get too deep, too early on. I’m open to getting to know everyone but as weeks go by, figure it out,” he had said.
George Knight, however, isn’t the only casting change in the Love Island world this summer. Love Island USA star Vasana Montgomery was cut from the show before its June 2 premiere after old videos resurfaced of her allegedly using the N-word.
The show drops new episodes six nights a week from Sunday to Friday at 9 p.m. BST on ITV2. For US audiences, episodes land on Hulu and Disney+ three days later.
