Who is joining Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper’s expanding Ocean’s prequel cast?
Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper are expanding the Ocean’s universe as leads in the Ocean’s Prequel. According to recent news from The Hollywood Reporter, 3 new members have been added to the cast list ahead of production.
These include Vicky Krieps, George MacKay, and Omar Sy. Additionally, Lauren Ridloff and Jack Holden have also been reported to join the cast.
Krieps is well-known for Phantom Thread, Old, Diamond, The Three Musketeers Part 1: D’Artagnan, The Three Musketeers: Milady, and Love Me Tender. She also has executive producer credits for the movies Yukushima’s Illusion, Went Up the Hill, and Corsage.
MacKay is popularly known as Curly from 2003’s Peter Pan. His other acting credits include How I Live Now, 1917, Captain Fantastic, & Sons, Sign Language, Rose of Nevada, I Came By, The Beast, and Munich: The Edge of War.
Sy is in negotiations to join the cast and is popularly known for Netflix’s Lupin. He is also known for The Intouchables, Jurassic World, X-Men: Days of Future Past, French Lover, Shadow Force, Out of Control, and The Killer.
Ridoff is best known for her Broadway debut in Children of a Lesser God, as well as for The Walking Dead and Marvel’s Eternals. Holden is also known for his stage work in Cruise and Kenrex: A True Crime Thriller, with credits including Ten Percent and The Levelling.
The heist prequel will begin its production in late July and is slated for a June 25, 2027 release date by Warner Bros. Cooper will be directing the movie alongside Robbie and Tom Ackerly through her company LuckyChap.
This movie will be set during the 1963 Monaco Grand Prix. The leads will play the parents of Danny and Debbie Ocean. Other confirmed cast members include Wagner Moura, Monica Barbaro, and Josh Gad.
