Now, as Marvel‘s latest big screen superhero takes center stage, we’re pleased to present a conversation with leading man Benedict Cumberbatch! As you can see for yourself in the player below, Cumberbatch discusses the rapidly-expanding Marvel Cinematic multiverse and even teases his upcoming performance opposite fellow Sherlock Holmes Robert Downey Jr. in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War!

Doctor Strange is directed by Derrickson from a script by Jon Spaihts (Prometheus, Passengers) and C. Robert Cargill (Sinister). The film follows the story of the talented neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a tragic car accident, must put ego aside and learn the secrets of a hidden world of mysticism and alternate dimensions. Based in New York City’s Greenwich Village, Doctor Strange must act as an intermediary between the real world and what lies beyond, utilizing a vast array of metaphysical abilities and artifacts to protect the Marvel cinematic universe.

Doctor Strange also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave), Tilda Swinton (Only Lovers Left Alive), Mads Mikkelsen (Hannibal), Rachel McAdams (The Vow), Michael Stuhlbarg (Pawn Sacrifice), Scott Adkins (The Bourne Ultimatum), and Amy Landecker (Transparent).
