Universal Pictures has released a new Steve Jobs trailer, this one offering a much larger look at the presumed Oscar contender. In fact, it’s my early year pick for Best Picture.
Starring Michael Fassbender in the title role, the story will center on the founder of Apple, set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, the film takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter.
Danny Boyle directs and Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network) wrote the screenplay based on the biography “Steve Jobs,” by Walter Isaacson. Along with Fassbender, the film co-stars Seth Rogen, Michael Stuhlbarg, Perla Haney-Jardine, Kate Winslet, Jeff Daniels, Katherine Waterston and Sarah Snook.
Steve Jobs releases in theaters on Oct. 9, watch the trailer below.
