One of these days movies will stop using the myth humans use only 10% of their brain, but Lucy didn’t get the memo as Scarlett Johansson plays a drug mule who turns into a superhero when the drug she’s carrying leaks into her system and gives her access to 100% of her brain. The result is her kicking everyone’s ass and as unreal as the premise may be, given it’s from Luc Besson (La Femme Nikita, The Professional) that only seems apt and it still has the chance of being a decent movie.
Morgan Freeman co-stars in this one, which Universal has set for an August 8 release. Check out the new international trailer directly below.
