Trailers for a pair of upcoming summer comedies dropped this morning, the first is a new red band trailer for Seth MacFarlane‘s A Million Ways to Die in the West (Universal; 5/30). I’ve only seen a couple TV spots for this movie so far and while I understand it’s an R-rated comedy, I have to say, those TV spots were not funny whatsoever. I’m going to refrain from watching the red band stuff, preferring to keep my expectations low so the film might hopefully surprise me, but damn, it looked bad.
SIDE NOTE: Charlize Theron is doing “Saturday Night Live” this weekend? So, there’s that…
Second is a new trailer for 22 Jump Street, which I’ve also seen a TV spot for and loved the moment Jonah Hill says to Channing Tatum, “You’re a little like Chris Brown and I’m Rihanna. You’re a real good dancer, but sometimes sort of mean,” or something like that. Great line, hope the movie is great too.
