ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive red band trailer for Dead Janitors Club. The upcoming dark comedy crime thriller movie is scheduled to premiere on August 28 in select theaters and on digital platforms.
“In the film, crooked cop Dirk and his cash-strapped Gen Z partner Jeff Klima navigate the grisly world of crime scene cleanup—until they discover an even more profitable side hustle: robbing the homes of the dead. But when Jeff crosses paths with Kerry, a sharp-witted tattoo artist with a guarded heart, sparks fly—and so does trouble. Their operation spirals out of control after Jeff steals a mysterious safe from a bloody scene, unaware it belongs to a ruthless drug cartel,” reads the official synopsis.

What happens in the Dead Janitors Club trailer?
The video features Stranger Things star Jake Busey as a corrupt cop who opens a crime scene cleanup business with a young man. Together, they clean up bloody crime scenes while also robbing the dead bodies of their valuable possessions. The trailer highlights some of the film’s gory and bloody sequences, while also teasing the dangerous consequences of the duo’s side hustle.
Dead Janitors Club also stars Felix Merback (Blood Star), Brianna Gage (A Daughter’s Deception), Jake Holley (Wake), and Ginger Lynn Allen (The Devil’s Rejects), with Academy Award nominee Gary Busey (Point Break) enlisted for the cameo role of homeless man George. The film is directed by Devon Downs and Kenny Gage, with Jeff Klima writing the screenplay. It was based on Klima’s bestselling memoir The Dead Janitors Club: Pathetically True Tales of a Crime Scene Cleanup King.
The movie is produced by Downs and Gage, with Robert Rhine serving as an executive producer. The creative team consists of cinematographer Theo Angell, editor Brett Solem, production designer Daniel Broadhurst, and costume designer Viktoriia Vlasenko, along with composers John Boegehold, Quentin Jones, and Adrianna Krikl.
