Sony Pictures’ upcoming adaptation of the video game Shadow of the Colossus has brought aboard Seth Lochhead to provide the screenplay, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter. As reported last year, Chronicle director Josh Trank is attached to direct.
“Colossus,” which was released exclusively on the PlayStation 2 in 2005, revolves around a man named Wander who must travel across a cursed wasteland and defeat 16 creatures, known as the colossi, in order to restore the life of a girl.
Lochhead is known for writing Joe Wright’s Hanna alongside David Farr, based on his own original concept.
