Things have been relatively quiet for Eli Roth on the feature film directing front, last having helmed 2007’s Hostel: Part II. That looks set to change in the near future, however, as (in addition to his upcoming The Green Inferno), Roth is in talks to direct the “Dracula” tale Harker.
The script arrives as a spec from Lee Shipman and Brian McGreevy and is said to relocate Stoker’s tale to England where Jonathan Harker is tracking the monster on behalf of Scotland Yard.
Russell Crowe is attached to headline the project and, while he was originally thought to be playing the Harker role, the site reveals that the actor is actually attached to play Dracula himself.
Production on Harker would likely take place next year with The Green Inferno shooting later this fall.
