Following a series of reveals earlier this week, the viral campaign for Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man has continued to tease a mysterious event that is now said to occur this Friday, May 11th at 12:00pm.
“In case you missed the hint,” writes the in-game Twitter account ScaleSeeker, “I’ll be using the handy hashtag #LizardTrail when we get down to business this Friday at noon.”
There’s no word yet on what the event will entail, but it appears planned for 11 cities, including Los Angeles, NYC, Atlanta, Chicago, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Austin, Tampa, Minneaplis and New Orleans.
Meanwhile, the viral site for Oscorp Industries is now online. The URL has been speculated to be part of the ARG ever since Oscorp badges were distributed to fans at last year’s Comic-Con. At the moment, the site only includes the logo pictured above, but that’s likely to change very soon.
Starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Irrfan Khan, Martin Sheen and Sally Field, The Amazing Spider-Man hits theaters on July 3rd.
