The Hollywood Reporter says that The Help director is teaming with Bridesmaids and “Mike & Molly” star Melissa McCarthy on Tammy.
The New Line comedy was written by McCarthy with her husband and Bridesmaids co-star, Ben Falcone.
The movie is about “an overweight woman who is laid off from her job at Hardee’s, discovers her husband is having an affair, and decides to go on a road trip with her alcoholic, foul-mouthed, diabetic grandmother.”
