The sheer amount of marketing that is taking place for Guardians of the Galaxy is impressive as Marvel certainly wants to make sure they’ve covered all bases in terms of raising awareness for their first major release outside The Avengers franchise. One of the next stops will be “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Monday, July 21, where stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper will test their Marvel knowledge in a trivia contest against Mia Grace, a 5-year-old superhero expert from Albany, New York.
To go along with that bit of “news”, just below is a new featurette for the film focusing on Pratt and his character Star-Lord as well as five more character posters, three of which focusing on the film’s villains — Ronan (Lee Pace), Korath (Djimon Hounsou) and Nebula (Karen Gillan) — as well as posters for John C. Reilly‘s Rhomann Dey and Glenn Close as Nova Prime Rael.
The film is set for an August 1 release and I’ll be seeing it next Wednesday and we’ll see just how good this next step in the Marvel Cinematic Universe really is.
