Emma Stone stars in Woody Allen‘s upcoming Magic in the Moonlight, playing a possible charlatan mystic opposite Colin Firth whose been sent to help reveal her as a fraud only to ultimately fall for her and it would appear Allen liked what he got out of the young star.
Variety reports Stone will join the already cast Joaquin Phoenix in Allen’s next feature. That, however, is all that’s known.
Perhaps Stone will follow in the footsteps of Scarlett Johansson who enjoyed a three-film run with Allen from 2005-2008, starring in Match Point, Scoop and finally Vicky Cristina Barcelona, my #1 film of 2008.
Stone can be seen in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in theaters right now and Magic in the Moonlight is set to hit theaters on July 25.
