Homefront posterSeveral new release dates have fallen into place as of late beginning with Fox shuffling their slate around a bit as well as adding a couple new titles.

First, they’ve moved Ridley Scott‘s The Counselor from November 15 to an October 25 release and they’ve given Paul McGuigan‘s Frankenstein, starring Daniel Radcliffe as Igor, an October 17, 2014 date.

Additionally, they’ve added Alvin and the Chipmunks 4 to their upcoming 2015 slate and will release the film on December 11, 2015 and Jorge R. Gutierrez‘s animated Book of Life, described as a Romeo and Juliet-inspired love story set during a Day of the Dead celebration, will arrive on October 3, 2014.

Open Road Films also got busy dating a couple of their upcoming releases including the delayed Ashton Kutcher-led Steve Jobs feature, JOBS, which will arrive on August 16, and their action-thriller Homefront starring Jason Statham and James Franco with a script from Sylvester Stallone, which will arrive on October 4.

Additionally, The Weinstein Co. have finally set an August 1 release for Joon-ho Bong‘s sci-fi feature Snowpiercer, which suggests a possible Toronto premiere.

Last of the bunch is Romeo and Juliet from Carlo Carlei, starring Hailee Steinfeld and Douglas Booth. Relativity will release the film in limited theaters on September 6.
