Cannes 2012: Hitchcock, ‘Spring Breakers’ and a Topless Man Introduces ‘On the Road’

When I was taking a picture of a giant banner for Walter Salles‘s On the Road, which is playing in competition here at the Cannes Film Festival, I had no idea this gentleman was standing just above the banner, shirtless and looking on at all the madness below.

Along with that, I have the a few additional pieces of marketing for upcoming films I’ve seen on the streets of Cannes including banners for Kar Wai Wong‘s long-delayed The Grandmasters, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Total Recall, a giant display for Madagascar 3: Escape to Africa, a massive Alfred Hitchcock banner, another look at the Django Unchained banner and one final banner for Spring Breakers, which I also cropped and re-sized in the final picture in the below gallery.

If you’re up for it, play a little “Caption This” and write a caption for the full-sized image of the man on the balcony above the On the Road poster. Funniest comment gets a cyber pat on the back. Otherwise, click on any of the thumbnails below to explore the rest of the pictures.
