Tarantino Talks Scorsese, ‘Avatar’ and ‘Reservoir Dogs’

Jeff Wells at Hollywood Elsewhere has posted instant Internet fodder and I am heel-toe in line and eating it up. Wells has made available three videos he captured from the “Directors on Directing” panel at Santa Barbara’s Lobero theatre from Sunday evening and Quentin Tarantino once again serves as the source of entertainment.

First is a story Brian DePalma told him in 1980 regarding his feelings concerning his 1981 film Blow Out vs. Martin Scorsese’s 1981 Oscar winner Raging Bull. Following that are two more snippets, the first is a story concerning his first day on the set of Reservoir Dogs and the second discusses Avatar in comparison to what he wanted Kill Bill to be.

As always, it’s entertaining, but be careful if you are at work, the language is a bit salty and not safe for your cubicle speakers.
