New Line has picked up romantic comedy Missed Connections, with Michael Shamberg and Stacy Sher producing through their Double Feature Films.
The studio has acquired the project out of turnaround from Universal, where it had been development for several years. The story, penned by Gustin Nash (Charlie Bartlett), centers on a multitude of characters in search of love and friendship in an era of instant communication.
“The question is how do you fall in love at a time when people are growing less intimate despite being more connected,” Sher said.
