According to What’s on Netflix, Netflix will remove the R-rated horror film from the streaming platform on July 19, 2026, giving subscribers only a limited time to watch it before its departure.
Sean Ellis wrote and directed The Cursed, which LD Entertainment released in U.S. theaters on February 18, 2022. The supernatural horror film begins after ruthless landowner Seamus Laurent orders the massacre of a Romani clan in an attempt to seize their land. The attack unleashes a deadly curse that soon envelops his family and the surrounding village, bringing terrifying visions, unexplained murders, and the disappearance of his son, Edward.
While frightened residents believe a wild animal is responsible for the killings, visiting pathologist John McBride suspects something far more sinister is at work. As he investigates the growing horrors plaguing the community, McBride works alongside the villagers to stop the deadly force threatening them all.
The film stars Boyd Holbrook as John McBride, Reilly as Isabelle Laurent, Alistair Petrie as Seamus Laurent, Roxane Duran as Anais, Nigel Betts as Alfred Molière, and Stuart Bowman as Saul, among others.

Audience response was more mixed, with the film earning a 54 percent audience score. On Metacritic, the film holds a score of 62 out of 100 based on 24 critics, indicating generally favorable reviews.
