Tom Cruise made a memorable impression at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. Former NFL star Greg Olsen recently recalled an unexpected moment with the Hollywood icon. According to Olsen, it all started with a compliment about his hat.

Greg Olsen attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding with his wife, Kara. He wore a steel blue tuxedo jacket, black tuxedo pants, a white dress shirt, black bow tie. He also wore a wide-brimmed black hat that caught Tom Cruise’s attention.
Speaking on his Youth Inc. podcast, he called the celebration unlike anything he had experienced. “It’s hard to really put into words the people that you would see in line in the bathroom and people you would see in line at the bar.”
He admitted the guest list left him amazed. “You’re kind of like, ‘What am I even doing here? What is this circle?'” During the cocktail hour, Olsen walked out of the restroom. That’s when he suddenly heard someone calling out. “Hey, hey… dude, I love your hat.”
Olsen turned around and realized it was Tom Cruise. The actor had gone out of his way to compliment his wide-brimmed black hat. He said, “I was like, ‘Thank you, man. How nice is it to meet you, Tom Cruise.’”
The two then chatted for a few minutes despite the busy crowd. “And like, you know, you’re walking out of the bathroom with Tom Cruise and he goes out of his way to compliment your hat and then you have a two or three-minute conversation, amongst a million other people and athletes and entertainers and musicians.”
Olsen also joked about one detail from the meeting. “I did wash my hands, thankfully, before I shook his hand.” Looking back, he still couldn’t believe the moment happened. “But that was kind of a like a ‘did I just shoot the s— with Tom Cruise?'”
The wedding reportedly welcomed around 1,000 guests. Hollywood stars, athletes, and musicians all gathered to celebrate the couple’s special day.
