Taylor Swift reportedly honored Travis Kelce’s high school kindness during their emotional wedding vows
Global pop icon Taylor Swift reportedly paid homage to her husband and NFL star Travis Kelce’s kindness from his high school years, People reported, citing sources.
One source told the outlet, “Taylor talked about how Travis was the guy in high school who, even though he was the star athlete, would go sit with the less-popular kids who were being bullied at lunchtime.”
While honoring him, Swift mentioned that she always wished “she knew someone like that when she was in high school.” Her words eventually left Kelce “very emotional” and crying. It’s also revealed that Swift even sang parts of her vows during the wedding ceremony, which was officiated by Adam Sandler. It took place at Madison Square Garden on July 3, 2026.
Speaking more of the star-studded wedding, the couple reportedly chose not to have a seated dinner. Instead, they offered attendees various Italian dishes, sushi, and other options such as caviar served on chicken nuggets. There were food trucks seen as well, arriving at the venue. They included N.Y. pizza hotspot Mama’s Too and also Philly cheesesteak offering Danny & Coop’s.
As for Swift and Kelce’s looks for the wedding day, they were created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. Their designer was Jonathan Anderson, who is the Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s and Haute Couture Collections.
He worked closely with the couple to decide the best and final looks for their big day. Interestingly, this was the Irish fashion designer’s first couture dress for a highly renowned celebrity.
Taylor Swift’s wedding day featured many notable attendees, including Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Steven Spielberg, Jessica Alba, Chris Rock, Hugh Grant, Danny Ramirez, Laura Dern, Bradley Cooper, Gigi Hadid, Ethan Hawke, Ed Sheeran, Dakota Johnson, and Jimmy Fallon, among others.
