Warner Bros. Pictures has finally shared the official trailer for Dune: Part Three. The upcoming final installment of the epic sci-fi opera franchise is scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026.
“Emperor Paul Atreides struggles with the consequences of his holy war, while a conspiracy within his own sphere of influence threatens his reign of the universe,” reads the synopsis.

Who is in the Dune 3 trailer?
The video teases the return of Timothée Chalamet‘s Paul Atreides, Zendaya‘s Chani, Florence Pugh‘s Irulan, Jason Momoa‘s Duncan Idaho, Rebeca Ferguson’s Lady Jessica, Javier Bardem’s Stilgar, and Josh Brolin’s Gurney Halleck. They are joined by franchise newcomers Robert Pattinson as Scytale, Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia Atreides, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa as Leto II, and Ida Brooke as Ghanima.
Dune: Part 3 is once again directed and produced by Denis Villeneuve, who co-wrote the screenplay with Brian K. Vaughan. It is based on Frank Herbert’s 1969 novel Dune Messiah. The story is expected to take place years after Paul’s ascension to the throne. It will center around Paul facing the consequences of having too much power.
The movie is produced by Cale Boyter, Joseph M. Caracciolo Jr., Brian Herbert, Kim Herbert, Tanya Lapointe, Byron Merritt, Mary Parent, and Thomas Tull. Executive producers are Jessica Derhammer, John Harrison, Richard P. Rubinstein, and Jon Spaihts. The creative team consists of director of photography Linus Sandgren, composer Hans Zimmer, editor Joe Walker, production designer Patrice Vermette, costume designer Jacqueline West, and casting director Francine Maisler.
